Tras la celebración de la edición 69 del Motocross de las Naciones, se ha determinado realizar la «Riders and Manufacturers Cup».
Después de un año de éxito en el Mundial de Motocross y el Motocross de las Naciones, tanto Youthstream, FIM, marcas y equipos han determinado realizar un magno evento para el día 8 de octubre del 2016 en Veltins Arena, Alemania.
Riders and Manufacturers Cup será una competencia similar al Motocross de las Naciones. Cada marca seleccionará a sus dos mejores pilotos de la categoría MXGP (450) así como uno de la clase MX2 (250). Correrán tres mangas como ocurre en MXoN pero ahora representarán a su marca, no a su país. La pista será construida para dar un buen show al espectador y segura para los pilotos.
Será transmitido por TV como ocurre en el MXoN.
