En el año 2013 el grupo KTM AG compraba al grupo BMW, Husqvarna Motorcycles y para el 2014 presentaron motos totalmente renovadas. La tecnología que se usaba para las motos de 2 y 4 tiempos de Husqvarna ha sido adquirida por la empresa española GAS GAS lo que le permitirá fabricar lo que hacía Husqvarna tanto en 2 como en 4 tiempos.
Esto va permitir que Gas Gas continúe con su expansión gracias a la reciente aprobación de un préstamo de 2 millones de euros y a sus constantes alianzas como la que hizo con OSSA, empresa que también fabrica motos de trial.
