250 y 450 Factory Edition 2016.

KTM muestra las motos «Edición de Fábrica» que serán usadas por sus pilotos oficiales de Motocross en los Estados Unidos.

 

Se trata de la 450 que llevarán los pilotos Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin y Dean Wilson así como la 250 que Justin Hill, Jessy Nelson, Shane McElrath, Mitchel Falk y Alexander Frye usarán en la clase LITES en los seriales de Supercross y Motocross en el 2016.

El cambio más significativo de estos modelos es la nueva suspensión WP AER 48 de aire, sustituyendo la 4CS que usaron por varios años y que se traduce en mejores prestaciones y menos peso además claro, de toda la nueva tecnología empleada en las versiones 2016 de Motocross.

Estas motos estarán disponibles para su venta, aunque como son ediciones especiales, son pocas.

450 SXF.

WP AER48 air forks and new mufflers.

• NEW WP AER 48 front fork with a sophisticated air spring design and separate damping for easy adjustment to any track condition, rider weight or skill level. The fork is now 3.1 pounds lighter than the 4CS unit it replaces.

• NEW Orange anodized CNC-machined triple clamps feature a rubber damping system, Neken handlebar and ODI lock-on grips

• New-generation WP shock has been developed in conjunction with the new fork

• Super lightweight Galfer Wave rotors, CNC machined hubs, high-end D.I.D. DirtStar 
wheels rims and are fitted with Dunlop GEOMAX MX32 tires as standard equipment

• “No Dirt” footpeg design will not clog with mud or dirt, to keep the foot peg in the correct position at all times.

• Lightweight chromoly steel frame provides higher torsional rigidity with less longitudinal stiffness resulting in excellent handling and energy absorption

• The 450 SX-F Factory Edition engine design is compact, light and provides high performance throughout the entire range of power

• The engine cases are designed and engineered to centralize engine mass and reduce overall length and width

• Keihin EMS and 44mm throttle body featuring a lightweight direct-connect design contribute to seamless power delivery

• Electronic launch control makes for efficient starts while multiple engine maps control the overall power delivery according to the rider’s needs

• DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch has a new lightweight basket along with a reworked inner hub and pressure plate that provides additional oil for cooling and durability.
